Ramón Somoza (1956) was born in La Coruña, Spain. He writes since he was 15, when he was living in The Netherlands.

He has an university degree in Computer Sciences, but his experience covers many fields. He has worked as a translator, he has developed software, including simple web applications, desktop or corporate systems and even airborne software (Eurofighter). He has also worked in Manufacturing and Services, as well as the A400M transport Final Assembly Line (FAL). His experience covers data modeling, contract negotiation, program management and even business intelligence and business development. He currently works at Airbus Defence and Space as Senior Expert for In-Service Data Exchange, Integration and Management.

Ramón Somoza has also worked in standardization groups dedicated to both software and integrated logistic support aspects. He has participated in at least a dozen of these committees, and has chaired two of them at the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and another two at the European Aerospace and Defence association (ASD). He is currently the European chairman of the ASD/AIA SX000i, International specification for Integrated Product Support (IPS) as well as the chairman of ASD/AIA S5000F, International specification for in-service data feedback..

Nevertheless, his favorite hobby is writing. Given that he travels a lot, he writes most of his books during his trips. He speaks fluently five languages.

    Impresionante me he estado enganchado desde el primer relato de la serie. Estoy deseando que estén listos para descargar el resto de ellos. Soy asiduo lector de ciencia ficción y la verdad es que estos relatos son muy superiores, en mi opinión, a otros que gozan del honor de tener premios como el Nebula, Hugo o Locus.
    Si sigue así sin duda ya me tiene ganado como lector asiduo.

    Hace mucho que un libro no me tenía en vela hasta las tantas de la madrugada. La saga "En órbitas extrañas" lo ha conseguido. Cada episodio te narra una historia-aventura diferente y todos ellos están unidos por una trama común.
    Quizá, el único pero sea uno que ya ha comentado otro lector: las constantes referencias a los episodios previos.
    A pesar del "pero" es una magnífica obra que me ha encantado.

    Como no podía ser de otra manera, este relato deja un regusto de insatisfacción porque sabe a poco
    Sus relatos, novedosos, atractivos y subyuga tes siempre saben a poco, siempre rompen el límite de la imaginación y lo imaginable, sorprendiéndonos y fascinandonos y dejándonos con los dientes largos a la espera del siguiente relato

    Absolutamente recomendable, seguir las peripecias de la protagonista es genial y engancha. Reconozco que he estado esperando con ansia la serie, ciencia ficción de la antes . No lo dudeis, dadle una oportunidad , una lectura amena y adictiva
